Design Goal:

These clients were ready to update their outdated 58”x58” powder room. They wanted a sophisticated space with a “wow” factor. He wanted brushed nickel finishes and she wanted sparkle.

Since we had remodeled their kitchen the year before and the powder room was nearby they were leaning toward the same cabinet but with a little encouragement I convinced them to choose a cherry furniture style cabinet in a rich Espresso finish. The granite yard had saved a piece of granite for us from the kitchen, even though it turned out to be slightly different, the body was black with ribbons of cream and plum. The Desert Rose, crackled vessel sink was hand blown from a Seattle glassblowing studio and partnered with the “Love Me” waterfall faucet giving the room the “pop” it needed. Adding details such as the pewter and black mosaic tile at the backsplash trimmed with a silver metal liner complemented the soft green walls, brushed nickel hardware, custom mirror and thunder gray toilet. The “sparkle” was a silver metallic ceiling. Now this remodeled powder room was just Plum Pretty.
